Getting older???

Happy Birthday Little Sis! You are almost the big 3-0, one more year to go.
I know it's hard to get old but I wanted to send my love across the miles.
Remember I will always be 15 months older, wiser, cuter... (these adjectives could go on forever).

Look how much younger you look at this birthday.

Summertime Fun

We have been looking for fun things to do this summer. So some of our summer fun involves cooking (like smores, brownies, and cakes). We have also played with water balloons, and rode bikes.
Summer is exhausting!

On the Move

This little boy never stops. Nick and I have no idea what Ashe is up to sometimes. As you can see he is a boy on the move.

Getting Ready for 3rd Grade

We have been working throughout the summer getting ready for third grade. Nick has spent each day working on both math and reading. We set a side some time each day for learning. We of course don't forget to play also. We just got a kit of outdoor games like volley ball, horse shoes, back yard tennis, and badminton (more pictures on that to come). Nick has also pulled out some toys that he hasn't play with in a while.

Sleep Tight

Ashe is suppose to be going to bed. As you can see he is NOT sound asleep. Whoever came up with the saying... sleeping like a baby... obviously never had children.
Good Night Ashe, now close your eyes.

Bonding

Ashe is getting big, he is now 8 months old.
Nick thought it would be funny to put Ashe in his hat. Ashe is such a trooper. When we first brought Ashe home Nick was afraid to even be by him. Now they love spending time together. This summer has already been a great bonding experience for the boys.

Locked Up

Lock him up and throw away the key.
As an attempt to to have a minute without Ashe in my arms we have set up the playpen. This makes Ashe very unhappy he wants mommy to carry him everywhere. Most things I can do with Ashe in my arms, but there are times when I need to set him down. Now that he is crawling I can't even set him in the Boppy and walk away because he is causing trouble or crawling to find me. When he is in the playpen all he does is yell for my attention.

The Great Sweater Debate

The other night we went walking at the lake and it was a little chilly so I had Ashe wear his new sweater. Steven hates this sweater, but I think Ashe looks cute in his little sweater. We had a debate in the store about this sweater. So I didn't buy it, then I saw the sweater again. I still liked it and wanted Ashe to have this sweater. Steven was that voice telling... no don't get it. Well finally I found the sweater again on sale 70% off. I think it was God's way of telling me that it was meant to be. How can I deny a clear cut sign?
Well I figure there is only a short time in life when kids will wear what you put on them and not complain.
He looks happy to me.

Baking

This summer was suppose to the summer where I lost weight. I have brought in and set up the ski machine. I have even been using it. In the evenings we have been walking. I do however have a sweet tooth and as you can see we have been baking. We made daddy a surprise, we love you cake. There is always room for cake.

First Shoes

Today we waited for the UPS person to bring Ashe's new shoes. Of course we waited all day, but they finally arrived. So we went out as family for a bike ride and a walk. Nick rode his bike, while Steven and I pushed Ashe in the stroller. It was so funny Ashe kept swinging his little legs wondering what these things were on his feet.

When I found these cute shoes I just had to have them. His sneakers are Chuck Taylor chocolate brown Converse sneakers and the sandals were his Pediped Harvey in brown (which I have been looking everywhere for, until I ordered them).

Mommy's Little Helper

Well I am all caught up on the laundry, gotta love Summer. No thanks to Ashe who unfolds all the clothes after I'm finished folding them. As soon as he isn't in my site he is causing trouble. Like now... gotta go!

Summer has begun!!!

The summer sure has begun. Ashe was home a whole three days and is already crawling. He is now into everything. I of course knew it would be a busy summer but chasing him from 7am until he finally falls to sleep at 8pm is exhausting. Nick on the other hand is already asking when are we going back to school.

I don't really think that Abby is use the crazy days and noise she seems to be looking for the exit.

Crawling Soon

Ashe will soon be crawling as you can see. He can get himself from the sitting position to his hands and knees. When he gets up there he just rocks back and forth and doesn't get himself moving. I hope that being home with him this summer will give him more tummy time and help him with crawling.

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day I have two wonderful boys to celebrate. The best part of this day was all the hugs, kisses, and love. Today I was given a Java Blue, Vera Bradley tote bag and a matching wristlet for Mother's Day. If you look close you can see the monogramming. They spoiled me with a yummy dinner and I even got to sleep in this morning.
I have the best boys.

Into Everything

Ashe was sitting so nicely in his Boppy until he managed to turn himself around and around in circles. He ended up under the coffee table. This little one is into everything. I can't imagine how we will keep up with him when he can crawl or even walk.

Sea World

After First Holy Communion we spent the day at Sea World together. Nick took the picture of the manatee. It was a rescued manatee it only had one flipper in the front.

Easter Sunday

The Easter bunny left a note for Nick having him find 24 eggs hidden around the house. It was filled with more chocolate, like Nick really needs anymore candy. Nick had a basket with a movie, games, and candy. Ashe got chewy and musical toys in his basket, however he was most interested in his ducky basket.

6 Months Old

Ashe is showing you what he did all night in his crib...SLEEP.
Then this morning he woke up and he was 6 months old. He slept in his crib for the whole night. Mommy and Daddy didn't sleep well because we listen to the monitor all night.
Happy 1/2 Year Birthday, Ashe.

Brusha, Brusha, Brusha

Now that Ashe has a big boy tooth. Mommy makes sure he does a good job brushing that tooth. I love this picture, Ahse looks like he is studying his brother's brushing habits. This one will be another no-cavity boy.
Smile!!!

Soccer Boys!

Nick played awesome at soccer tonight. He is really working hard out there and is making the game exciting. He has even gotten himself some great header balls. Tonight Nicholas won a medal for playing so well. We are super proud of all his hard work.

Ashe can't wait until he is just like his big brother. He already likes rolling around his little soccer ball.

Big Boy

Ashe is now almost 6 months old. He will have his half birthday on April 3rd. Ashe has hit some big milestones. He is now sitting on his own (check out how great he is doing from the picture above . He is still wobbly but is getting stronger everuday. You will never believe what I found tonight, this was one a big milestones in his first year. I found Ashe's first tooth. It is the bottom right front tooth. I was so excited I was cheering, daddy and Nick were cheeering and Ashe was just wondering what all the noise was about and why everyone had their hands in his mouth.

Rub-A-Dub

Ashe loves to take a bath. He likes to splash water all over mommy. The bath always relaxes him and helps him go right to sleep. Look how big he is, he is now sitting on the other side of the tub. The big kid side. Yeah Ashe!

Happy Valentine's Day
Today was Ashe's first Valentine's Day. Our boys are so loved by Steven and I, so everyday is Valentine's Day for them.

Rice Cereal

Since Ashe has been so hungry lately we called the doctor and they suggested that we try spoon feeding him some rice cereal to help fill him a little more. So tonight was his first time sitting in his high chair eating from a spoon. He didn't enjoy it as much as the bottle. I think it was a little too much work for him. We will just have to keep at it.

Superbowl Sunday

SUPERBOWL!!! Go Bears!!!
This family lives for football and this was the mother of all games. We would have like to see the Bears win it. Unfortunately they were out played by the Colts.

Baby Yoga

Ashe is so interested in his feet lately. This little guy is so talented that he can actually contort his body in all ways and can even get his toes in his mouth. This is talent at only four months old. This trait will have to be one of his big selling points for girls in the future.
